If Gaston Lagaffe had had a “prudence mode” button, he would probably have broken it before even finding it.
With Risk Mode: ON, SKE propels Gaston into a graphic playground where every signal seems to tell him to turn back: radiation pictogram, “No Humans Allowed” sign, “Error 404,” evacuation arrows, pixelated dinosaur, and references to video games. And yet, he advances with that calm smile that sums up decades of gaffes embraced by him.
For those who grew up with Gaston, the scene works instantly. You recognize that nonchalance, that unique way of turning danger into an anecdote and prohibition into an invitation. SKE makes the Franco-Belgian comic dialogue with the codes of street art, urban appropriation, and digital culture. The big “I LOVE” at the top and the massive “RISK” at the bottom frame the character like a declaration: love risk, yes, but in Gaston’s style.
Retro-gaming nods — Space Invaders and the offline dinosaur — add another layer of collective memory, linking several generations of popular culture in a single composition.
Risk Mode: ON is therefore not a simple image of Gaston. It’s a collision between nostalgia, humor, and urban energy, designed for the collector who loves recognizing references… and discovering a new one with every look.
A piece that does not preach caution. And that’s precisely why we want to keep it.

- FRAMING TIPS
Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.
Upon receipt, remove it gently and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing.
ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at hardware or decor stores.
Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they beautifully showcase the works.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile practice who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in Urban Master (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also establishes himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations among collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and tactile textures define a style now essential.
SKE is, without a doubt, an artist to follow, to initiate or enrich a collection with rising value.
Awarded & Respected Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line reflects the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to remix Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on shared collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories like Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you meet sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art with textures that sometimes evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal to enrich a collection or bring a dynamic touch to your interior.
