Mechanical antique pocket watch – “MARINE” – Ø 50 mm
Elegant hand-wound mechanical pocket watch, presumably of European/Swiss production and datable to the end of the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th.
Round metal case in silver color, about 5 cm in diameter, with a richly relief-decorated back featuring floral and ornamental motifs. Large upper ring for the chain.
The dial is white-toned, with black Arabic numerals from 1 to 12 and a red 24-hour indication. It features elegant pierced and decorated hands and the small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, characteristic of pocket watches of the era.
The mechanical movement, visible when opening the inner case back, shows gold-plated bridges and plates, a hand-wound balance wheel, and engraved decorations. The word “MARINE” is clearly present on the movement. Normal signs of use and wear compatible with the age of the watch are visible.
