Description from the seller
Flow of Colours
Original painting | 100 × 50 cm | Mixed media on canvas
With “Flow of Colours” a fascinating explosion of color meets an elegant, structured image surface. A powerful stream of luminous colors runs horizontally across the work and seems to extend in flowing dynamism over the canvas.
Intense turquoise, blue, orange and pink tones meet a deep, expressive background in noble gray and anthracite shades. The colors appear lively and tangible: they flow organically into one another, shimmer in the light, and are framed by tactile textures. Thus, the impression of a captured, liquid moment arises – like an orderly current of pure energy that carves its way through an urban rocky landscape.
What is particularly exciting is the contrast between the paste-like, textured dark background and the shiny, reflective color flow in the center. Through the use of noble epoxy resin (resin) and shimmering elements, the central stream stands out particularly intensely and lends the work extraordinary three-dimensional depth and presence.
Palette knife techniques, fine splashes, textured surfaces and reflective resin layers combine to form a surface that is haptically and visually highly captivating. Craftsmanship and flowing dynamism merge here into a powerful, expressive one-off.
“Flow of Colours” stands for elegance, movement and the intense radiant power of color. A modern, contemporary artwork in landscape orientation that creates a special atmosphere at a glance in any room and reveals new details again and again depending on the angle of light.
Hand-painted original from the Clourful series by artist Yannick Leniger.
- Mixed media (acrylic, structure paste, epoxy resin and spray paint) on canvas
- Certificate of authenticity
- ready to hang
In 2003 Yannick Leniger started with graffiti painting and gained experience at night in dealing with spray paints and the nature of various substrates. In 2010 Yannick Leniger began creating his characteristic works from the flowering series, which enjoy great popularity. By combining spray paints and acrylic, Yannick Leniger developed different techniques that produce unique effects in the works. These mixed techniques are also found in Yannick Leniger’s current works. Influenced by artists such as Christiaan Lieverse and Pier Toffoletti, the current works depict people, developed in conjunction with texture-providing media. In several steps, parts are masked, revised and highlighted. From 2019 to 2022 Yannick Leniger was a member and treasurer of Kunstforderer e.V. in Unna and supported the association in a variety of creative projects with children and adolescents, schools and all-day schools. Since 2023 Yannick Leniger has been the first chairman of Kunstforderer e.V. in Unna.
