Description from the seller

Superb and rare collector’s box from M.Kindal Paris, a Swedish cutlery set comprising an incomplete semainier of four straight razors (cut-throat razors), bearing witness to the know-how of early 20th-century cutlery. The House: The razors were distributed by the famous M. Kindal Cutlery, located at the prestigious 33, Avenue de l’Opéra in Paris (marking visible inside the period lid and stamped on the blade tangs “M ♔ K No 31”). The Manufacture: The blades come from the prestigious Swedish manufacture C.V. Heljestrand (Eskilstuna), globally renowned for the purity and exceptional quality of its carbon steel. One blade features a period-specific tooth pattern. The Scabbards (Handles): Splendid handles in genuine natural blonde horn, showing beautiful amber tones, nacreous reflections and authentic organic marks (with the darker growth zone near the mounting). The Case: Original bound presentation case, interior in red velvet and satin, designed to protect these pieces of fine silverware. The piece has stood the test of time, retaining an authentic and charming shaving odor in its case. The carbon-steel blades show oxidation marks and normal superficial pitting related to storage and time, testifying to their authenticity. One horn handle shows noticeable wear at its end (visible in the photo), without compromising the overall solidity of the piece. The locking and pivot mechanisms function. A showroom piece ideal for enthusiasts of traditional shaving and fine antique cutlery.
