Fauteuil (2) - Canvas - Wingback chairs. Italy

A rare and beautifully proportioned pair of mid-century modern wingback chairs, Italy, circa 1950. The pair is upholstered in sumptuous camel-colored velvet and combines the characteristic design language of Paolo Buffa’s high-backed lounge chairs with the bold, bespoke execution typical of Gió Ponti’s iconic seating designs from the same era. An impressive example of Italian
craftsmanship, characterized by flawless geometry, original structural lines, and exceptional ergonomics.

There is a small flaw (2–3 mm)—it's not very noticeable, but it's there; otherwise, the armchair is in excellent condition.
