"Atra" is a unique and original abstract work belonging to my series "Lucis Fragmenta", a project focused on the interaction between form and color to make light visible. Through chromatic relationships, intensified contrasts, and overlapping layers, I develop a visual space where painting generates rhythm, density, strength, and emotion.

Created entirely by hand with acrylic on canvas, the work brings together planes of different densities that meet, relate, and articulate the visual plane. "Atra" unfolds a dynamic balance between form, energy, and composition, where light arises from the painting itself and the work remains open to the personal experience of the viewer.

About the artist:

My name is Gaby Acevedo. I am a visual artist. I live and produce my works in Spain. For more than 25 years I have been developing an artistic practice centered on contemporary abstract painting, where color and light are the pillars of my visual language.

My work stems from research into the relationship between form, color, and perception. Each series responds to a different exploration, but all share the purpose of transforming visual experience into a language open to emotion and free interpretation.
