We present to you a very beautiful original watercolor by the French painter Pierre Abadie-Landel (1896-1972).
Title: Marine Landscape - Brittany - Sailboats.
Technique: watercolor on thick paper.
Located in Brittany.
Format: 31.2 cm x 48.3 cm.
Signed by the artist in the lower left corner.
Provenance: private collection.
Condition: Excellent. Traces of tape.

*Pierre Abadie-Landel (1896-1972)*
Born August 22, 1896 in Paris 6th arrondissement, died September 23, 1972 in Paris 14th arrondissement. Painter, wood engraver, ceramicist and illustrator of French origin with Breton roots.
- Student at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
- 1916: he gained recognition during the Great War with _L'Alphabet de l'Armée_ and drawings for _Le Nouvel Essor_. At that time he discovered the Fratellini circus, which would become one of his favorite themes.
- 1920: began exhibiting at the Salon des Indépendants.
- 1923: founding member of the group *Seiz Breur* (Sept Frères) with Jeanne Malivel and René-Yves Creston, a Breton art renewal movement. For the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs of 1925, he created ceramic plates and decorative ceramics with the HB factory in Quimper and toys for the Breton pavilion.
Themes: maritime Brittany (Douarnenez, which he frequented for 40 years), nudes, circus, Breton pardons. Also worked as a designer for Primavera (Spring), Galeries Lafayette, and Maison Dominique.
