Original oil painting on canvas by Polish artist Michał Dobrowolski, titled Underwater. The work was created in 2020 and is accompanied by its original certificate of authenticity issued by Art Gallery 36 in Kraków, Poland.
Dobrowolski was born in Poland in 1969. He studied at the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Jarosław and subsequently graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. His oeuvre includes figurative compositions, portraits, cityscapes and atmospheric underwater scenes.
In Underwater, the artist depicts a female figure floating beneath the surface, surrounded by small fish and rising bubbles. The turquoise and deep-blue background contrasts beautifully with the warm tones of the figure, while the loose, expressive brushwork creates a strong sense of movement, light and weightlessness.
The painting is stretched on a wooden stretcher and can be displayed without an additional frame.
