Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the collective AMA, develops a distinctive artistic universe grounded in plastic arts since childhood, with a keen eye for detail and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed perspective, attentive to both simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether as a gift, a memory, or part of your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for street art through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) (in or out of edition) addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion industry products (sports, sneakers, etc.).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys playfully distorting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos… After the sale, no unfounded claims can be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
