Louis Vuitton Monogram crossbody bag, 1990s.

This is a brown Monogram coated canvas crossbody bag with natural cowhide leather trim from Louis Vuitton.

A compact camera-style shoulder bag with two independently zipped compartments and gold-tone hardware, carried on an adjustable Monogram canvas strap fitted with a perforated leather shoulder pad. The leather corner patches and trim have deepened into a warm honey patina that only years of wear can produce.

Observed condition details:
- Exterior: The Monogram canvas remains supple with a rich, evenly darkened tone. There is a small area of surface lifting on the upper front panel, a chipped section on the leather corner patch shown in photo 9, and canvas deterioration along the upper side seam shown in photo 13.
- Interior: The lining is clean and in good order throughout, with no notable staining or stickiness visible in the photographs.
- Hardware: The gold-tone zips and buckle show light dulling and fine surface scratching consistent with age, and all zips are shown fastened and unfastened in the photographs.
- Handles / Straps: The Monogram canvas strap is intact and the leather shoulder pad has aged to a deep amber; the leather sleeve on the strap shows fraying at one edge as shown in photo 11.
- Stitching: The stitching is intact across the panels and trim, with the yellow thread mellowed to a soft golden tone.
- Odour: No strong or unusual odour was noticed when the bag was inspected.
