Each capsule contains an iconic character, frozen like an emotional sample under glass.
The work turns pharmaceutical codes on their head to transform nostalgia, entertainment and collective references into “emotional substances.”
Through this series, Popléa plays with our modern dependency on images, childhood heroes and popular symbols.
The characters change depending on the works, but the principle remains the same: an encapsulated emotion, ready to be “prescribed.”
Between minimalist sculpture, luxury design and gentle critique of consumer society, HAPPY DRUG deliberately blurs the boundary between art, collectible object and fictitious pharmaceutical product.
Each piece acts like a mental capsule: an instant memory, a dose of nostalgia, a visual injection of popular culture.
