Specimen Mosasauro, a Mosasaur jaw section with teeth from Morocco, dating to the Cretaceous period (145–66 million years ago), restored and with original/official authenticity.
Description from the seller
Beautiful Mosasaur jaw section from Morocco, preserving multiple teeth still associated with the bone. The specimen displays well-preserved dental and bone structures, with natural surface details and porosity still clearly visible. Discovered in the northwestern Sahara region of Morocco, it is an impressive example of the powerful dentition of these Cretaceous marine reptiles.
Mosasaurs were among the dominant marine predators of the Late Cretaceous. Their elongated bodies, powerful jaws and numerous conical teeth made them highly effective hunters. Their limbs had evolved into flippers, allowing them to move efficiently through the marine environments they inhabited millions of years ago.
The fossil from the Arte Terra collection has been paired with a solid wood display base, custom-made to enhance its beauty and scientific value. On the front surface of the base, a laser-engraved naturalistic illustration depicts the prehistoric animal to which the specimen belongs, reconstructed in its original environment. In the bottom right corner, the “Arte Terra – Fossil Mineral Design” logo is featured as a guarantee of authenticity and artisanal craftsmanship.
