In “Patina” soft turquoise tones meet powerful golden structures and dark, earthy accents. The layered surface resembles naturally aged metal – shaped by fine cracks, irregularities and traces that give the work its unmistakable character.
The gold threads through the three canvases like a connecting line, and its effect changes with the light incidence. This creates an exciting interplay between a rough surface and refined shine, between transience and permanence.

Stefanie Raus is a self-taught artist from the Black Forest. She was born in 1976 and is known for her delicate paintings, often with a touch of gold leaf and strong structure. Collectors of her works live in Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Malta, the Netherlands, Italy, the Czech Republic, Singapore, Spain, Greece, Portugal, France and Germany. Through her listing on Saatchi Art she has sold many works to the USA. Her paintings have been exhibited both in the country and abroad. In 2024 she achieved first place in the Kunstpreis von Kunst Online.
