Ukrainian-Soviet artist. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Khitrova Tamara Aleksandrovna was born on January 9, 1913, in Pskov, Russia. From 1931 to 1934 she studied at the Odessa Art Institute. In 1940 she graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, teaching in the specialty: A. Shovkunenko, P. Volokidin. Participant in republican art exhibitions since 1945, all-Union since 1940, international since 1947. T.A. Khitrova — Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. She worked in easel painting. Author of lyrical works on the theme of Soviet life and daily life. The artist’s major works include: “Concerto in Hospital” (1945), “Alyonka” (1950), “With a Song” (1969), “Bread” (1978). In 1960 T.A. Khitrova received a medal and a certificate from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Kyiv, Odesa and Kharkiv. From 1983 - Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Died on July 14, 1991 in Kyiv. The artist’s works are highly valued by collectors and are represented in museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
