Beautiful original drawing by Casty depicting a happy, radiant Mickey Mouse
Better known to readers under the pseudonym Casty, Andrea began writing and drawing stories of mice and ducks at the age of ten, enriching them with splendid covers made with his colorful collection of pastels.
Once ready, the comics were “rented” to friends but only for a very short time and for proper compensation, which led him to think that perhaps writing comics could become a profession for his future.
Thus, after earning the diploma of a "master of art", he sent his works to a long list of publishers and soon began a stable collaboration with Acme of Silver, giving life to a long series of Cattivik and Lupo Alberto strips with growing success.
The time has come to crown the old dream of writing for Topolino, and since 2002 he has begun collaborating with the Editorial Team. His plots are riveting, his style unmistakable.
His Topolino, a bit shy and defenseless, but generous and determined to help those who suffer abuses, recalls that of Romano Scarpa, whom Casty freely draws inspiration from.
Andrea was born in Gorizia on April 23, 1967 and has always lived in Gradisca d'Isonzo, among the green of Friuli.
