Description from the seller
JUNGHANS – Vintage wall pendulum clock with original certificate
For sale an elegant Junghans wall pendulum clock, a historic German manufactory founded in Schramberg in 1861 and one of the most important names in German clockmaking.
The clock features a refined veneered and polished wooden case, with geometric and sober lines, a light dial with Arabic numerals and gold hands, the Junghans mark with the characteristic star and the inscription “Made in Germany.”
An authentic vintage Junghans, enriched by the charm of the mechanical movement, the distinctive sound of the two chimes, and the presence of the rare original guarantee certificate.
The movement is mechanical with a pendulum and two wind holes, respectively for the clock movement and the striking mechanism. At the bottom of the case, protected by the glass door, the large pendulum with a gold metal lens is visible.
Particularly interesting is the presence of the original Junghans guarantee certificate – “Garantieschein / Bon de Garantie / Certificate of Guarantee,” also bearing the famous Junghans star logo. The document also shows a handwritten note that seems to indicate 1967: an element that could place the purchase of the clock in the sixties, although a definitive dating would require verifying the initials on the movement.
The clock represents a fine example of Twentieth Century German design: elegant, essential, and easily integrated into both classic and modern interiors.
Main features: original Junghans Made in Germany; mechanical pendulum movement; double winding for time and strikes; wooden case; dial with Arabic numerals and gold hands; pendulum visible through glass; original Junghans guarantee certificate preserved.
Indicative value: based on photos and the presence of the original documentation, a rough range is about €120–€200, potentially higher for a perfectly functioning, serviced and fully original specimen. The final appraisal depends on the movement model, its mechanical condition, and the confirmation of dating.
An authentic Junghans vintage piece, with the charm of traditional German mechanics and, not common, its original certificate.
