Description from the seller
On a golden countryside road lined with dry hills and scrub, a blonde pin-up with bouffant hair reminiscent of the 1960s steps out of a large black coupe with gleaming chrome and white sides. Clad in a yellow silk patterned blouse, a short pink skirt, garter stockings, and black pumps, she props herself with one hand on the open door, one foot on the ground, in an entrance pose. Semiotically, the tableau condenses the femme fatale fantasy of film noir: the powerful car, the empty road, the sensually elegant moment captured at the stop. The yellow of the blouse and the pink of the skirt burst against the ochres of the hillside and the high-gloss black of the bodywork. The finish, smooth and illustrative, bathes in the warm late-afternoon light; the clear shadow on the pavement anchors the scene in a cinematic realism.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and the back of the work.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas on a stretcher, using a high-quality pigment print for faithful reproduction of details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
Keywords: pin-up painting, film noir, femme fatale, vintage black coupe, yellow blouse, pink skirt, garter stockings, country road, 1960s, American illustration, oil on canvas, figurative art, LeYack, Atelier Joconde
