Bookends (2) - Marble - Geometric Art Deco

Elegant pair of geometric marble bookends, characterized by a sculptural composition with a strong visual impact, reminiscent of the geometric Art Deco language.

Each element features an architectural construction composed of essential shapes stacked: a large circular disk in intensely veined red marble, a rectangular base in light marble, a frontal element in black marble, and a small light circular insert.

The contrast between the different tones and the natural veining of the marble creates a particularly graphic composition, in which circle, rectangle and vertical lines balance each other, giving the whole an almost sculptural appearance.

Thanks to a weight of about 1.3 kg per piece, the two items are solid and stable and can be used both as functional bookends and as decorative/sculptural objects for bookshelves, desks, consoles or Art Deco and eclectic interiors.

Conditions
In good vintage condition, with normal signs compatible with age and use. There are light traces, small imperfections and surface marks, visible in the photographs. Color variations, veining and irregularities of the stone are natural marble characteristics and make each element unique.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and show details, materials and state of conservation.
The pair will be packed with particular care, considering the weight and the marbleulness of the marble.
