Chinese pale celadon nephrite jade sculpture double pixiu –China- 20th Century
On offer is a sculpture or pendant made of pale celadon nephrite jade depicting 2 lying pixiu.
The smooth taotie or monster mask has a flat head. This amulet has a light green color and a greasy appearance. This pixiu sculpture is made according the Chinese taste and is robust and ruggedly shaped. Hard to find!
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: This jade comes from inland China. A Good jade, suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! Please see test results and pictures.
