Figurine (2) - Biscuit porcelain

Beautiful set of two antique figural holders in biscuit porcelain, manufactured around the turn of the century (ca. 1900), presumably in Germany.
This detailed set forms a so-called ‘pendant’ (a matching pair). It depicts a boy and a girl in romantic rural attire.
Both stand on a rocky ground and flank a realistically shaped brownish woven basket with rope details.
The baskets are hollow inside and were used as small jardinières for dried flowers.
