Stunning decorative plaque of ogival shape in glazed earthenware with a bordered design and gilt highlights, produced by the famous Manufacture des Émaux de Longwy.

Titled “Old Calvary,” this sacred art piece, inspired by medieval/neo-Gothic aesthetics, depicts the Crucifixion scene: Christ on the cross topped by the titulus “IHS / XPS,” framed by two praying angels and accompanied by the Virgin Mary and Saint John at His feet. The whole is beautifully enhanced by a golden architectural border with columns and arches, set against a deep ruby red and emerald green background.

• Limited edition: No. 45 in a very restricted run of only 150 copies

Superbe plaque décorative de forme ogivale en faïence émaillée à décor cerné et réhauts d'or, produite par la célèbre Manufacture des Émaux de Longwy.

Intitulée « Calvaire Ancien », cette pièce d'art sacré d'inspiration médiévale/néo-gothique représente la scène de la Crucifixion : le Christ en croix surmonté du titulus « IHS / XPS », encadré par deux anges en prière et accompagné de la Vierge Marie et de Saint Jean à ses pieds. Le tout est magnifiquement mis en valeur par une bordure architecturale dorée à colonnettes et arches, sur un fond rouge rubis profond et vert émeraude.
