Patek Philippe Extracts included with the timepiece

This 1983 Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 3800 comes with three special features that make it an extremely rare and sought-after collector's item.

Firstly, the dial impresses with factory-set diamond indices, a rare execution in itself. In addition, this specimen bears a discreet "Beyer" signature at the 6 o'clock position. The signature indicates that the watch was sold at the legendary traditional Zurich watch dealer - a detail with high collector's value.

The real highlight of this Ref. 3800, however, is its dial colour: the original blue colour has changed over the years and now shines in an extraordinary dark green tone.

Patek Philippe launched the Ref. 3800 as the mid-sized brother of the original Ref. 3700 Nautilus. However, the 3800 was not only slightly smaller, but also introduced some important improvements. For example, it was the first Nautilus to be equipped with an in-house automatic movement: the calibre 335 SC.

Unlike the "Jumbo" Nautilus, the 3800 also had a central seconds hand, which added a lot of dynamism to the original Nautilus's rather static dial.

To this day, the Nautilus can be recognised by its iconic case designed by Gérald Genta - a timeless classic of sporting elegance.
