Vilhelm Serber ( 1902-1977)
Serber begun his carrier as a realist but soon changed into modernism. He is known for his early cubism and expressionism and later in his life he also worked with modern non-figurative art. Serbers works are known for their impressive colors that often were dark and strong. Serber traveled and worked in France, Germany and in the Nederland’s. Serber also worked as a sculptor and did series of both painted wooden sculptures and stoneware sculptures. Exhibitions: Charlottenborg: 1947-1960. – Salon: 1940. – Galeri Sixtus: 1950. - Town hall: 1939-1940. – The 11: 1942-1947. – Nord Jylland Museum of fine arts: 1982.
