I create paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash. In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the latest works realized.

This piece is the first created for the series "Adults should love".

The work has a very strong visual and emotional impact. The title "adults should love" sounds almost like a critique of what is often missing in the dynamics of more mature relationships.

The expression of the woman at the center of the composition conveys a sense of vulnerability, abandonment, capturing a moment of intense emotional rawness. The material technique amplifies this message: the use of recycled paper reduced to fragments, combined with acrylics creates a mosaic of experiences where every small piece of paper represents a fragment of life, a memory or a scar that shapes adult identity.

By placing this work in the thread of giving voice to women and raising awareness against abuse, the title takes on an even more powerful connotation. "Adults should love", adults should love becomes a manifesto against toxicity: it reminds us that true adult love should be based on care, respect and authentic affection, moving away from dynamics of domination or violence. The face emerging from this chaotic and fragmented texture seems to claim that right to healthy love.
It is a work of great conceptual depth.

Born in 1974 I am self-taught.

After an initial period devoted to sculpture there was a long stop of almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I have returned to the "two dimensions" for lack of time and space, leaving sculpture behind and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.
I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people both imaginary and real.

For me painting is "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that – over time – grow on the surface.
Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a beautiful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs easily perceivable by both touch and sight.

In this latest period, after several years in which my works were made from little pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids repeated with mathematical rigor that, seen up close, seem to form an abstract colorful painting but the more you move away the more a figure portrait emerges from the 768 painted wooden discs.

Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all of my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they lack the strength or courage to denounce the fact that they are not their partner’s dolls and cannot be mistreated or worse, victims of violence.
