Special Series Crypto Rock - Recreating a photo using images of the represented artist.\n\nArtist Photographer – Creator of contemporary images\n\nMultidisciplinary photographer-artiste, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first became known through a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This research on gaze and presence gave birth to a fine art book published in 2021. Later intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.\n\nNew series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons\n\nThe Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction made up of thousands of micro-graphic compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it unveils a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts as a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject represented. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. Extensive work is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent manner.\n\nEdition & Fabrication\n\nEach work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by an authenticity certificate. The prints are produced on aluminum with a built-in rear mounting. Printing on bright white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term stability of colors, and a modern, contemporary rendering.\n\nParcours\n\nSince 2014, David Law participates in about twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the official photographer and videographer for several contemporary art fair organizers. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops a writer-artist musician career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
