Description from the seller

RAMON AZUL, Mixed media on canvas — pigment giclée, varnish brushed by hand · Digital painting · Hand-signed · 2026

Quadriptych in a single square: the same folded figure, four times. Ochre on blue, blue on orange, violet on olive, red on turquoise. Each panel shifts in temperament by changing the chromatic harmony. Postures scarcely vary — one arm higher, a turned face, eyes open or closed — but the color alone suffices to convey four distinct states of mind. The grid format invites comparison and turns a single motif into a typology. Uniform treatment across the four panels: flat color fields, drawn contour, restrained modeling. The backgrounds are slightly textured to avoid a printed look. The whole reads as a single block, like one painting, not as four juxtaposed panels.

Mixed technique: stamp with pigmented ink, varnish brushed by hand, for the durable protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Format: 40 x 40 cm.
Signed RAMON AZUL · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.

RAMON AZUL is one of the creations bringing together artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and free figuration. Under the name RAMON AZUL, the Atelier explores stylized nudity in the style of Mexican modernity: monochrome bodies in saturated flat fields, full and sculptural forms, backgrounds of pure color, the grave serenity of faces.

RAMON AZUL gathers nude figures with colored bodies, blue, red, ochre, nestled or entwined, where the skin becomes a state of mind and the body a pure plastic sign. The throughline: a dialogue between the heritage of the Mexican school and a contemporary pop gaze, where the painted matter enhances and transfigures the printed image.

Each work is a unique piece.

Seller's Story
