Zhuang Hong Yi (1962) - Head

Collector's item: an original small-format painting by the internationally successful Chinese artist Zhuang Hong Yi from the former series 'Head': 'Head-2005'. Mixed technique on canvas, executed in the three dimensions characteristic for Zhuang Hong Yi. The edges form an essential part of this painting and in the painting his movements are clearly visible.

Zhuang Hong Yi (1962, Sichuan Province), lives and works partly in Beijing and since 2024 in Switzerland. After his art education in China, Zhuang Hong Yi completed his studies at the Art Academy in Groningen. His first exhibition at the Groninger Museum followed in 2000, the second in 2007. By far most people know the work of Zhuang Hong Yi through his extremely (internationally) successful 'Flowers' series which he has been making since 2006. Less well known are his earlier works from series such as 'Faces' and 'Head'. It is precisely with these two series that Zhuang Hong Yi gained international recognition.

This -smaller painting for Zhuang Hong Yi's work- has been depicted in various articles and has been exhibited in several museums. The painting is delivered with a certificate of authenticity as well as the applicable accompanying documents/photos.
