A couple sitting with their backs to us on a warm stone wall, she in a jean jacket, he in a white shirt, her arm draped around his shoulders. In front of them, the sea in three blues, two fishing boats, a rocky headland on the left. In the foreground, a white scooter on its stand, chrome and black seat.
Nothing happens and that is the subject. The two characters gaze at the water, the engine is off, the day lies ahead. The scooter in the foreground acts as a counterweight and gives the scale of the scene.
Distinct impasto everywhere: the sea in horizontal, loaded brushstrokes, the wall rendered in buttery yellow and ochre, the whites of the clothing built up in relief. The bougainvillea on the right provide the only reds.
Technique mixte : estampe à encre pigmentée, vernis au pinceau appliqué à la main, pour la protection durable de l'œuvre.
Support : toile premium tendue sur châssis bois, prête à accrocher.

MARÉ SOL is one of the creations bringing together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop and free figuration. Under the name MARÉ SOL, the Studio celebrates outdoor light and summer swimming, in the tradition of knife-painting impressionism: clear sun, translucent water, vibrant impasto, and Mediterranean joie de vivre.
MARÉ SOL brings together summer scenes by the water, dives, swims, sunbathing, captured in the brightness of light and the vigor of youth. The throughline: a dialogue between impressionist heritage and a contemporary gaze, where painterly matter enhances and transfigures the printed image.

Galerie Joconde est un atelier familial et un laboratoire de création contemporaine, où trois artistes : Le Yack, Popsan et Neo Pablo, croisent leurs univers pour produire des collections originales.
