LAMELLA - Mixed technique: print with pigmented ink, brush-on varnish applied by hand, for the durable protection of the artwork.
A man in a dark suit, black tie, white collar, stands out against a clear blue sky speckled with small cumulus clouds. The left half of his face has been cut into regular strips that unwind into the void, each carrying a fragment of the mouth, like a series of detached smiles.
The right eye, intact, fixes the spectator with perfect calm. It is this calm that makes the cut effective: the man appears to suffer nothing or notice nothing. What was meant to be a face has become a sequence of interchangeable expressions, and the sky passes through.
Smooth finish, no brush marks, frontal lighting, minimal cast shadows—the technical precision does all the work. The blue of the sky is laid down in perfectly equal flat areas, the clouds outlined sharply.

LAMELLA is one of the creations bringing together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo, and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop, and free figuration. Under the name LAMELLA, the Studio cuts the face into fine bands that unwind into the void, in the tradition of Belgian surrealism and American precisionism: a smooth finish with no brush marks, frontal lighting, perfectly equal flat areas, and the deceptively calm scene in which nothing remains in place.
Each work is a unique piece.

Galerie Joconde est un atelier familial et un laboratoire de création contemporaine, où trois artistes : Le Yack, Popsan et Neo Pablo, croisent leurs univers pour produire des collections originales. Loin d'une simple galerie de vente, c'est un véritable lieu de production où les styles se lient, se confrontent et donnent naissance à de nouveaux mouvements. L'atelier travaille aussi bien en création collective qu'en démarches individuelles : chaque œuvre proposée peut être le fruit du travail d'un, de deux, ou des trois artistes réunis.
Toutes les œuvres proviennent directement de l'atelier des artistes, sans intermédiaire. Les originaux sont des pièces uniques. Chaque œuvre est signée et accompagnée d'un certificat d'authenticité, et expédiée avec un emballage professionnel adapté au transport international.
