AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

David Gerstein's 5th Avenue L transforms urban into a breathtaking 3D metal wall sculpture, alive with color and movement.

Hand-painted on laser-cut steel, this 3D wall sculpture features multiple layers that create remarkable depth and dimension. Each piece is an original signed edition by David Gerstein, one of the most celebrated contemporary artists working in metal wall sculpture today. The hand-painted finish gives every work its own unique character and presence.

5th Avenue L makes a powerful design statement in any setting — from contemporary apartments to corporate lobbies. Its hand-painted finish ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike, making it a truly personal addition to your art collection. Worldwide shipping available; certificate of authenticity included.

From the first work titled 5th Avenue A, to the following twenty, the characters have developed from generic, cartoon-like figures to individuals with stories and personalities. Over the years, I've traveled and photographed hundreds of people across the US, Europe, the Middle East, and China to inspire the individuals that now walk in my 5th Avenue paintings. In this rendition, the characters I painted are more somber and slightly more monotone, with only one colorful man standing out in the center. He looks like he is fresh on a holiday while everyone else is sweltering in the New York summer heat.
