Maurice Lévis (1860‑1941) was a French painter and watercolorist whose work sits between naturalist landscape, Barbizon heritage, and Orientalism. Born in Paris on November 11, 1860, he was the son of painter Juliette Lévis and trained with renowned masters such as Henri Harpignies, Jules Lefebvre, and Pierre Billet.
He exhibited from 1888 at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he earned an honorable mention (1895), a third-class medal (1896) and a gold medal in 1927.
