Description from the seller
The Last Move
What remains of a work when there is no one left to inhabit it?
The spectator immediately recognizes Diego Velázquez's Las Meninas. His gaze instinctively searches for the figures. Yet they are no longer there.
He feels a lack.
And it is precisely this absence that becomes the true subject of the work.
The moving boxes are not merely moving boxes. They become the means of transporting our collective memory. The Fragile labels, the inscriptions, the wrappings evoke an era when even our heritage seems able to be moved, stored, or forgotten like an ordinary object.
We protect objects more than the memories they contain.
By making the characters disappear, the work reveals what was hitherto invisible: absence. An absence that speaks as much of Velázquez as of our time, where images scroll by faster than they imprint themselves in our memory.
Because it is not the works that disappear first.
It is the looks we cast upon them.

Teejo is a contemporary French artist. He revives old works by great masters by reinventing them with his own vision. He hopes to reintroduce to the entire world old paintings by great masters, sometimes forgotten with time. His passion for classical art has allowed him to develop his talent. He has also created original new works blending poetry, satire, prevention, and imagination, conveying many messages through his creations. These works are sold around the world.
He creates his works using digital tools like Photoshop and enjoys mixing and revisiting techniques to obtain the best result. He is also the designer of the "perceptual duality," a graphic innovation filed with the National Institute of Industrial Property allowing multiple images in a single painting through color filters.
