German school (XX), signed "Wernecke H." - Hyazinthen

An original oil painting on canvas from the year 1914, clearly hand-signed and dated in the upper right with “Wernecken. 1914.” It shows a charming still life: three blooming hyacinths in classical terracotta pots, standing on a wooden windowsill. The flowers are rendered with a very beautiful, three‑dimensional impasto texture. The work is in its unrestored original condition on its original period stretcher.
