Description from the seller

"Boom"

Original painting and collage by Saname on cotton canvas mounted on a stretcher with a frame in the American-style frame. With a 43 x 33 frame

Gallery value: €800
The canvas is varnished and sold with a certificate of authenticity
Carefully packaged with insurance.
Looking better and more appreciable in person than in the photo, impact guaranteed!

This spray collage on canvas asserts itself as a visual battlefield, where popular imagery, political slogans, advertising icons, and bursts of color clash in a single breath. Nothing is hierarchical: everything is placed on the same plane, as if the artist revealed the cacophony of the contemporary world by letting it explode on the surface.

The fragments of text — sometimes ironical, sometimes critical, sometimes absurd — act as mental hooks, interruptions that force the eye to zigzag. Campbell’s, the Nike logo, cartoon characters: as many symbols of consumerism and modern mythologies, here distorted, saturated, almost suffocated under the layers of spray. The graffiti gesture, vivid, nervous, comes to contaminate the whole, giving it a raw, almost urgent energy.

What is at stake, essentially, is a stripping bare of our visual landscapes. The artist does not merely juxtapose: he reveals the soft violence of advertising, the theatricality of politics, the nostalgia of cartoons, and has them dialogue in a controlled chaos. The canvas becomes a fragmented mirror of our era, a space where the trivial and the symbolic merge, where the eye must permit itself to get lost in order to better understand what surrounds it.
