Antique silver pocket watch in the original case "A. Krauss-Hettenbach, Stuttgart" – Runs!
Description:
For sale is a charming antique pocket watch, presented in its original case. The case is lined inside with deep red velvet and silk and bears a gold-embossed inscription of the watchmaker: "A. KRAUSS-HETTENBACH, UHRMACHER, STUTTGART, EBERHARDSTR. 63".
Main features:
Case: Made of silver (punch marks on the inside of the back cover present, see photos). The back cover is decorated with a fine guilloché engraving, floral patterns, and a central cartouche in heraldic form (without a monogram).
Dial: White enamel dial in very good condition with clear black Roman numerals and an outer minute track with Arabic numerals. Separate small seconds at 6 o'clock. The hands are gold-plated and finely crafted.
Diameter: About 3 cm (excluding crown).
Movement: Gold-plated bridge movement, functional. On the balance bridge are the regulation marks "ADVANCE / RETARD".
Accessories: The watch is supplied in the original case and with a matching watch chain.
Condition: The watch is functional. Its accuracy over a longer period has not been tested. There are age-related signs of wear, patina, and fine scratches on the case, as is typical for an antique piece. Please examine the detail photos closely, as they are part of the description.
