Needle case / antique chatelaine set – repoussed floral decoration – late 19th / early 20th century

Ancient cylindrical decorative case, probably intended to contain needles or small sewing accessories and able to be suspended from a chatelaine.

Very beautiful metalwork with rich floral and vegetal relief decoration across the entire body. The circular lid is adorned with a finely worked concentric motif and includes a ring as well as a small chain with a decorative pendant.

Estimated dating: around 1880-1920.
Material: silvered metal or low-grade silver.
Technique: repoussé, chasing and engraving.
Condition: antique condition with patina, wear, small marks and oxidation consistent with age.
