Description from the seller
Rare illustrated edition with a loose frontispiece and 2 plates, one of which is loose, with numerous tables. The 1725 edition mainly presents tables and calculations allowing to determine with great precision the hours of sunrise and sunset, the movements of the Moon and the planets, their transits at the meridian, their apparent positions in the sky as well as various parameters necessary for astronomical observation -
The tables devoted to the Sun notably allow following its apparent motion, its longitude, its declination, its hours of rising, transit and setting, while the data relating to the Moon and the planets serve to establish their celestial positions and to forecast their various phenomena -
