Two 1983 FILA Brabham team mechanic jumpsuits worn by Brabham mechanics, blue 155 cm and white 150 cm, original, with patches FILA, BMW, Parmalat, Santal and Brabham Cobra, cotton garage overalls with eight zip pockets.
Description from the seller
1983 - Nelson Piquet becomes world champion behind the wheel of the mythical F1 Brabham BT52. It's the final Grand Prix of the season at Kyalami (South Africa) and the tradition is that teams swap their outfits.
Being part of the Michelin team associated with Brabham, I acquired two coveralls worn by the Brabham team mechanics. Charlie Whiting and Herbie Blash wore the same model as these..
The Brabham-BMW team suits were designed by the Italian brand FILA.
Colors: The cotton garage outfits featured navy blue and white, matching the color of the BT52 single-seater sponsored by the main sponsor Parmalat.
We find the embroidered patches of FILA, BMW, Parmalat, Santal and Brabham's Cobra.
These suits existed only in 1983 because the FILA-Brabham partnership lasted only one season.
Each outfit has 8 zip pockets, most of which are faux, and a pocket with a press stud. A belt allows adjusting the suit.
Dimensions:
The blue one 155 cm (for a person about 1.70 m)
The white one 150 cm (for a person about 1.75 m)
Sizes are listed by country on the FILA label at the collar).
Weight: 1.8 kg excluding packaging
