Gerrit Postma, artist name Gerriet, (Twijzelerheide, October 30, 1932 - Groningen, February 27, 2009) was a Dutch painter and visual artist.
Postma can be described as a vigorous man who made intense paintings, with paint explosions and abstract blobs of color where figuration shines through.
His motto was: ‘Live as I paint, paint as I live. I am nothing but paint’ (text by Simon Vinkenoog. A copy of the text is included, see photo).
