The scent of a summer evening is an original painting .Painted in Derwent intense built up in thin layers to give an atmospheric feel inspired by the late evening perfume in my garden . The painting .measures 55 cm x 55cm and is sealed with a satin acrylic varnish which protects it from uv damage and brings out the colours beautifully .I have given it an additional black acrylic border of approx 2cm please see photos. The painting is done on heavyweigh cotton gesso primed canvas .Please note this painting comes rolled in a tube with no frame .
I am an artist living. and working in beautful North Wales just outside the town of Wrexham. I am constantly inspired by the landscape ,seasons and the beauty and legends of my surroundings . I am returning to painting full time after being a full time carer . During the 1990s I held a solo exhibition at St David's Ewloe ,and had paintings in local galleries. I participated in Laings landscape artist of the year and was lucky enough to have my painting Land of my father's feature in the exhibition which started in the mall galleries London and then did a tour of the UK.
