Gerriet Postma, artist name Gerriet, (Twijzelerheide 1932 - Groningen 2009) was a Dutch painter and visual artist.
Postma could be described as a fiery man who made intense paintings with paint explosions and clumps of color in which figuration shines through.
His motto was: 'Live as I paint, paint as I live. I am only paint' (text by Simon Vinkenoog. A copy of the text is included, see photo).
This abstract painting on canvas is from the period 1990 - 1992 and is not framed.
Hand-signed on the lower right.
The dimensions are 95 x 70 cm.
