Inspired by the work of Suzanne Valadon, a personal version painted by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt.

Is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). Uses Borgen Lindhardt as a signature name and is known for her “kimono-series,” inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. Creates oil paintings in which old masters, combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies, and fantasy figures), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible thick brushstroke. She ranges from labor-intensive, playful work to smooth, sketch-like paintings.
