Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format work, Medsan pits against each other two hunters that cinema has never joined before: Boba Fett, the Mandalorian bounty hunter from Star Wars, and the Yautja from Predator, the trophy hunter from John McTiernan's film (1987). The scene is composed like a fully copper votive panel, imitating the beaten and repoussé metal of ancient metalwork. In the background, large stone faces with heavy eyelids evoke the four-faced towers of Bayon Temple in Angkor, watching over a jungle of vines, fronds, and ferns.
Kneeling on the left, Boba Fett holds his twin-barreled rifle with two hands, the barrel lowered, the T-shaped visor turned toward his counterpart. Standing on the right, the Predator dominates the frame: dreadlocks, shoulder cannon, red glow of the active laser sight on the silver mask, wrist blade already drawn. Between the two, two curls of smoke wind through the central void: they are the only movement in the image and guide the eye from one hunter to the other. The palette, almost monochrome, rests on coppery brown and its shadows, punctuated by the mandalorian armor’s greenish patina, the light gray of the mask, and two reds — Fett’s helmet and the メドサン cartouche, laquered in the bottom right.
No shot has been fired: Medsan chooses the instant just before, the moment when two predators size each other up without knowing each other. By treating this confrontation as a temple relief overtaken by vegetation, he shifts it into an archaeological time, as if the scene had been carved a thousand years earlier by a vanished civilization. The mashup says exactly that: the hunter’s figure is older than the franchises that have depicted him.
A dense piece that is immediately legible, perfect to bring a science-fiction and sculptural touch to a collector’s interior, office or living room with warm tones. The buyer receives a single giclée print on canvas, numbered 1/1 and hand-signed: a high-quality pigment print of Medsan’s original creation, in a single copy in the world.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a true center of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work influenced by cinema and realism. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive exploration, blending abstract art, naive art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
