Medsan presents Snoopy at Mount Fuji (富士山のスヌーピー) — UNIQUE WORK, a 1/1 giclée on canvas, 40 × 60 cm, created in 2026, signed, in excellent condition, from France.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
With this vertically formatted work, Medsan places Snoopy and Woodstock, the two most recognizable silhouettes from Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts, facing Mount Fuji. The beagle has left Charlie Brown's lawn: his red doghouse is moored at the end of a Japanese pontoon, between a vermilion torii standing in the water in the style of Itsukushima Shrine and a lake that replays Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. The mashup brings together the American comic strip of the 20th century and the great Japanese landscape imagery.
Snoopy is seen from behind, seated on the roof in his dreamer’s posture — that of the perched dog who contemplates rather than acts — with Woodstock, a tiny yellow spot, posted to his right. Neither of them looks at the viewer: our gaze follows theirs, from the red roof toward the snow-capped volcano, crossing the lake’s mirror where the sky repeats itself upside down. The palette juxtaposes a single warm note, the red of the doghouse and torii, against the cold range of water, mist, and dark pines, creams and mauves of a late-day sky doing the rest. At the bottom left, a stone lantern and flowering grasses anchor the scene, while a minuscule boat, almost erased by the mist, provides the scale of silence.
The juxtaposition says one simple and fair thing: Snoopy has always been a contemplative character. Seeing him on his roof in front of Fuji does not really unsettle him; it reveals what he already was — a figure seated before the vastness, between strip humor and the meditative emptiness of the print. The doghouse, an object of American suburbia par excellence, becomes here a small architecture of pilgrimage. This creation is materialized by a single gallery print on canvas, a pigment-printed edition numbered 1/1 and hand-signed.
A contemplative piece, immediately legible, ideal for bringing a poetic and pop touch to a minimalist interior, Japanese-influenced or a collector’s space devoted to great icons of visual culture.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a true hub of artistic production, the studio operates both in collaborative creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realist influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive quest, blending abstract art, outsider art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, produced, and overseen within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and a unique identity for each artist.
