Armand Meffre (1929–2009) French actor and painter.
- Spring of 1999
Iconic comedian of the theatre and cinema, Armand Meffre acted under the direction of major filmmakers alongside Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort, or Gérard Depardieu.
Trained in painting with master André Lhote, he developed a sensitive, luminous, and deeply human body of work. His canvases, imbued with tenderness and poetry, reveal a profoundly humane gaze, between restrained emotion and sincere simplicity. A complete artist, whose each painting tells a story and is moved by its authenticity.
A highly talented artist with significant results at public sales. He participates in major international art fairs in the United States, China, and Europe.
