Beautiful oil on panel measuring 20 x 30 cm signed bottom left B Retaux, a French Orientalist painter and friend of Maurice Boitel, and André Hambourg, two Orientalist painters (among others). Bearing the studio stamp as well as an order number on the back.
It depicts, as is sometimes the case with the well-known Orientalist painter, a view of the French seaside.
Sold in a modern frame by the painter’s daughter, therefore authenticity guaranteed.
