Louis van der Kruyk - Giverny Bridge

This large painting is made from the garden in Giverny where Monet once lived and worked. For this, the artist used several photographs as documentation and then free interpretation to paint the whole. Unfortunately, it was not allowed to paint there. But art and inspiration should not be hindered by strict rules, but spring from inspiration straight from the heart.

The reality is what unfolds in the heart, and otherwise art is soulless. The painter Louis van der Kruyk is, as can be seen here, a great admirer of the painter Claude Monet, but Louis's touch is different, just as every painter in his own way expresses things and is not intended to compete but to learn as an artist.
