Chinese blue and white porcelain plate – 20 cm diameter
Chinese porcelain plate decorated in cobalt blue on a white background, characterized by a rich floral and ornamental decoration.
The central decoration consists of floral and botanical motifs, while the rim features an intricate composition of flowers, leaves and ornamental motifs in various shades of blue. The painting shows variations in cobalt intensity typical of underglaze decoration.
On the back there is a cobalt blue painted mark inside two concentric circles. The mark is stylized/apocryphal and aligns with the tradition of marks found on Chinese porcelain. It cannot be attributed with certainty to a specific dynasty era based solely on the mark.
The surface shows some small irregularities and signs compatible with the workmanship and use of the object.
