Description from the seller
Original oil painting on canvas. Unique work. Canvas made entirely by hand. 60 x 80 cm. Signed by the artist. Certificate. (The interior render is an AI visualization provided for reference.)
She emerges from the water, running, wearing high-waisted white shorts, a scarlet headband in her hair, hand raised toward someone who remains off-frame. Behind her, a pale, almost milky sea, and a swimmer reduced to a dark dot between two waves. The wet sand keeps the imprint of her steps; her shadow stretches to the left, long and blue, a sign that the afternoon is well advanced.
Everything is surface joy, and yet Le Yack threads doubt into the details: the lone swimmer offshore, the stretching shadow, the hand that waves or says farewell. It’s summer on its last day, the one we’ll remember because it ends.
Smooth and luminous facture: gilded flesh built up in glazes, the whites of the shorts laid in full-bodied paint, the sea treated in light horizontal strokes that let the canvas breathe. The red of the headband is the only warm accent in the composition and immediately catches the eye.
Delivery information: The canvas is shipped rolled without a frame, carefully protected, placed in a reinforced rigid tube. This shipping method guarantees optimal protection of the work during transport. The buyer may have the canvas mounted on a frame by a local framer according to their preferred presentation.
