Description from the seller
Where the river is born
from the series The Language of Water
The series The Language of Water explores water as the element that organizes and shapes the landscape. Rivers, lakes, estuaries and reflective surfaces cease to be understood as geographic accidents to become visual journeys that articulate the composition. The course of the water guides the gaze through the territory, establishing a continuous dialogue between earth, light and the horizon.
The compositions are built with broad planes of color and simplified forms that synthesize the landscape into a balance between abstraction and representation. The winding beds structure the space and generate a visual rhythm that connects each plane, while the mountains, shores and reflections participate in the same formal continuity.
Color plays an essential role in building the atmosphere. The interaction between warm and cool tones, together with the presence of light reflected on the water, transforms the landscape into a visual experience where depth, movement and serenity coexist in harmony. Each chromatic surface preserves its autonomy without losing the unity of the whole.
In The Language of Water, the landscape becomes a pictorial interpretation where water acts as a guiding thread that unites territory, light and time. Each work invites viewing the landscape from a contemporary perspective, where the synthesis of forms and the rhythm of color reveal the water’s capacity to shape space and create an experience of calm and contemplation.
Authenticity of the artwork:
Each work is hand-signed on the back of the canvas, guaranteeing its authenticity and preserving the visual purity of the painting surface.
